Extraction ("we," "our," or "the app") is a premium espresso and coffee tracking application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Your account data, coffee library, brew history, equipment, and subscription information are stored in Supabase's PostgreSQL database. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.
When you scan a coffee bag or equipment, the image is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. Coffee metadata is also sent for recipe generation and barista chat features. Anthropic processes this data according to their API terms.
Your anonymous user ID and purchase transaction data are shared with RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and verify entitlements. RevenueCat does not receive your email or personal profile data.
If you use Sign in with Apple, authentication tokens are exchanged with Apple's identity service. All in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details.
We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, legal obligations).

Extraction is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers (Supabase, Anthropic, RevenueCat) operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
